There are basically two techniques that can be used for speaking with people with a hearing impairment. The first technique employs the use of sign language.

This requires the speaker to learn the sign language and then they can effectively communicate with people with hearing impairment.

A second method is in case the person with the impairment knows how to lip read, in which case it would be easier to communicate as the other person would not require to learn a new language.
