Dear meritation , there is a confusion regarding : cutting of tree = physical change why it is physical change not chemical change ? our teacher told it shld b chemical change

According to me it can be regarded as both physical and chemical change, if we see in perspectives of the physical nature then cutting is simply physical nature. For example the cutting of paper is physical change.
But here we relate this with chemical aspects then we see that a cut tree cannot be attached back it also tends to create a chemical change in the plant, there fore they can be categorized as chemical reactions as well.
