Answer:

  • Rabi has to pay ₹ 3150 at the end of 3rd year.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

  • Deb lent ₹ 10000 to Rabi for 3 years at 5% per annum.
  • After 1st year, Rabi gave ₹ 4500 to Deb.
  • After 2nd year, Rabi gave ₹ 3300 to Deb.

To Find:

  • Amount Rabi must pay after 3rd year to clear his debt.

Formulas Used:

\sf{\circ\;\;SI=\dfrac{P\times R\times T}{100}}

\sf{\circ\;\;Amount = P+SI}

Where,

  • P = Principal
  • R = Rate
  • T = Time
  • SI = Simple Interest

Solution:

Simple Interest for 1st year:

  • Principal for 1st year = ₹ 10000

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{10000\times5\times1}{100}}

Cutting off the zeros,

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{100\!\!\!\not{0}\!\!\!\not{0}\times5\times1}{1\!\!\!\not{0}\!\!\!\not{0}}}

\sf{\longrightarrow 100\times5\times1}

Multiplying the numbers,

\sf{\longrightarrow 500}

Hence,

  • SI = ₹ 500

And,

Amount  = ₹(10000 + 500)

= ₹ 10500

Money paid after 1st year = ₹ 4500

Debt left = ₹(10500 - 4500)

= ₹ 6000

Simple Interest for 2nd year:

  • Principal for 2nd year = ₹ 6000

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{6000\times5\times1}{100}}

Cutting off the zeros,

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{60\!\!\!\not{0}\!\!\!\not{0}\times5\times1}{1\!\!\!\not{0}\!\!\!\not{0}}}

\sf{\longrightarrow 60\times5\times1}

Multiplying the numbers,

\sf{\longrightarrow 300}

Hence,

  • SI = ₹ 300

And,

Amount = ₹(6000 + 300)

= ₹ 6300

Money paid after 2nd year = ₹ 3300

Debt left = ₹(6300 - 3300)

= ₹ 3000

Simple Interest for 3rd year:

  • Principal for 3rd year = ₹ 3000

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{3000\times5\times1}{100}}

Cutting off the zeros,

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{30\!\!\!\not{0}\!\!\!\not{0}\times5\times1}{1\!\!\!\not{0}\!\!\!\not{0}}}

\sf{\longrightarrow 30\times5\times1}

Multiplying the numbers,

\sf{\longrightarrow 150}

Hence,

  • SI = ₹ 150

And,

Amount = ₹ (3000 + 150)

= ₹ 3150

Debt left = ₹ 3150

Hence, Rabi has to pay ₹ 3150 at the end of the 3rd year.
