There is nothing that succeeds like success. This is an old saying. When one really tastes success, it boosts up his self confidence, pumps in enthusiasm, helps to look things positively and strive more to get more success. At least one will strive his best to maintain the reputation of previous success!
It is not failure per se, but the capacity to learn from a failure that could pave way for success. There are many people who face repeated failures too and hardly succeed; Not all of them are capable of using their failures as stepping stones. Only when one learns from failure, there are possibilities of seeing success. For that matter, in some cases, dropping a plan/ dream/ course of action could be more judicious than fighting to win again out of adamancy or blind conviction/ hope. Only proper wisdom to learn rightly from failure is the need.
