In matter of population ,India is the second largest country in the world.In this respect,it is next only to china but it has much smaller land madd as compared to china..
India's population crossed the mark of 1.21 billion in March 2011. At the time of independence it was only about 35 crore.it means it has increased four-fold,and that all various efforts put in at central state and local levels through various means..
The population explosion has to a great extent nullified the tremendous progress India has made after independence..The result is that a vast majority of the Indians is still steeped in stark poverty.. So the best way and the only way is to check population for which drastic measures should be adopted..
