Galileo: I am sure that the earth revolves around the sun.

Priest: I (representing the church) cannot accept your fact. It is the other way round. We have scriptures that state the earth is most certainly stationary. Are you trying to say that the scriptures have got it all wrong?

Galileo: No, the scriptures are not wrong at all. It is the interpretation about them that is wrong.

Priest: If the sun is stationary, how is it possible that the sun rises and sets in the east and west respectively?

Galileo: Please understand that the earth is like just any other planet. It revolves around the sun.
