Sure enough, city development has led to displacement of families and communities. This is primarily because of the fact that our cities have been developed in a very unplanned manner. Therefore, to now undertake any development project, it has to displace people. There are examples galore. For any metro rail project to be executed, a lot of people have to be relocated. In many places roads are very narrow and so people and shopkeepers have to relocated in order to broaden the road.
