‘Desert Cooler is a better option than air – conditioner for summer’

As we know that India is more of a tropical country. Lord Sun has special love for us & sometimes that exceed from a bearable amount, then everyone rush for some cold breeze. Here come the need for machine & some manual tricks by which we can beat the heat. There are many ways to reduce the level of heat & somehow we can control the temperature range of rooms. But when all old & ways falling short in to meet the comfortable room & surrounding temperature there is an important need of machine those can reduce the manual labour & can effectively manage & control the environment .

There two commonly used machines which are   meant for this purpose. Desert Cooler & Air Conditioners. Later one is latest & most advance technological invention of this century for protection from summer heat. ACs is most powerful & easy to operate & control machine for curb the summer effect. Whereas Desert Coolers are less complicated & without much minimum requirement for operation kind of machine.  As Technology is more advanced & upgrade, it always comes with some direct & indirect cost which has to bear by parson & environment both at a same time .

That’s why I think Desert Coolers are far better option than Air Conditioners Here are few main reason for that.

1. Desert cooler are cheaper than ACs . ACs are more costly than Desert coolers. Anyone can’t afford ACs. Whereas Desert Cooler is easy to buy for everyone.

2.ACs comes with lots of pre- specific requirements for their sooth & sustainable operation for long time .

3. Maintenance cost for desert cooler is far less than ACs.

4. Desert coolers are moveable machine but ACs has to fit at particular place in the house which again required the modification & renovation the building or a house. So it increases its installation cost. Now days there are few companies who invented movable ACs also but which also increase the cost of product.

5. Desert coolers are most eco-friendly & less harmful to environment whereas ACs possess major threat to environment in form of CFCs & HFCs. Those are responsible for Ozone layer‘s depletion. A layer up above which protects us from harmful UV rays & we have less chance to skin diseases.

6. Desert cooler are better options for extreme heat area because at such kind of places ACs can bear the power loads. Not much effective due to their technical limitations.

7. ACs duct has to clean after few months for its smooth functioning, In desert cooler we just use the throw the flaps because they are made of grass & dry jute. Those are easy to recyclable. ACs has no such advantages.

8.  ACs consumes far more electricity & water than Desert cooler. This why most people like desert cooler over ACs.

9. ACs are work better when doors & windows are closed. There not such need for Desert cooler.

Main thing is place of use for both machines. In most of dry areas desert coolers are preferred much & area where less humidity & dryness in environment ACs are desirables .

HERE ARE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE GIVEN TOPIC:-

●Advantages

☆ Can work in areas with any humidity levels

☆Will cool consistently irrespective of temperature outside

☆Will dehumidify the air and keep humidity at comfortable levels

☆Relatively Quiet

☆Can control temperature of room precisely

☆More hygienic air than air coolers as it filters air as it circulates it

☆Doesn't consume ant water during operation

☆Some refrigerants are not environmentally safe

●Disadvantages

☆Expensive :initial Cost as well a running costs are very high

☆Needs to be maintained professionally.

☆Maintenance cost is higher

☆High power consumption.

☆Needs special Installation

☆Need goof insulation in room to save power and operate efficiently

☆Needs clean power to funvtion and hence stavilizer is needed in areas with poor supply

■ Air coolers ■

●Advantages

☆Low initial investment (costs 10-15 percent as an AC)Runs at 1/5 th power consumption of ACDoesn't have any special insulation requirements in the roomsSimple mechanism.

☆Maintenance is easy and can be done by anyone,

☆Spare parts are easily and cheaply available.

☆Can humidify air in really dry areas

☆Can operate without stabilizers

☆Uses no gases or substances that have negative impact on environment

●Disadvantages

☆Can function only in Dry regions where humidity is less.

☆Cannot be used in coastal regions and areas with high pollution

☆Can become unhygienic very quickly unless maintained properly.

☆Water has to be changed and the water pads have to be cleaned regularly

☆Cannot cool without humidification

☆Uses a fair amount of water to operate right.
