Heya friend,

I am obliged to answer this,

There has been a great misconception since ages on the meaning of these two.

Many of us, would be thinking that fact is anything that is right and proved. But in reality, Facts can be false too, Facts are something that can be proven.
For e.g. - California is the capital of India.

It is a false fact, but it is a fact as we can check whether it is the capital or not.
Now,

For e.g. - Chocolate milk tastes better than regular milk.
We cannot check here whether the taste is really good or not, here it comes under the category of OPINION.

Fiction - It is an imagination based thinking or a story, It is not at all existing in reality.

Thank you!!
