Good morning everyone present; I am going to express my views in favor of Mission Shakti. I will give a big kudos to the Indian Government, the scientists, and all the other people involved in the successful conduct of the mission.
India became fourth elite country that has the capability of destroying a hostile or spy satellite in the space. The mission was successfully conducted on March 27, 2019. An Indian ballistic interceptor missile successfully destroyed a satellite that had been put in space on purpose.
The test is a significant achievement. The modern world is the world of technology. Advanced countries monitor, control, and operate their many defense and security assets using satellites. These satellites are also used to keep an eye on the movements of the hostile countries. Some countries in the neighborhood of India have been involved in anti-India activities. This test was a clear signal to these countries that India could not only detect the inimical satellites, but also destroy them if the need arose.
I conclude my views by saying that this Mission Shakti was a great achievement of the nation and I am proud of our scientists and the Government.
