An evil thief is better than a dishonest guard. Police are supposed to protect us from crime, not to protect criminals from punishment. Moral values are necessary in Police force because –
1. They are appointed by Government to follow the law.
2. Dishonesty will ruin the public image of Police.
3. Criminals get undue advantage from immoral activities of Police.

Normally, the squads are also acting like kangaroo courts, which evoke public support on a sensitive issue including protecting women, as well as the hypocrisy of the same men at home, even in their own lives.

Overall, it is completely based on a dangerous assumption that every female with a male is unsafe.
