Debate on should we explore life on other planets
Answers
Answer:
Mankind has already spent too much time and money in the search for life in outer space. It is such a waste of resources. We cannot even take care of life on our own planet. Millions live in slums and poverty. Cities are full of homeless people. Our financial resources should be used for the poor. There are incurable diseases. Put money in the search for cures and immunization. Put the money to find better and easier ways to heal all diseases. There is too much talk and little action on the degradation of our environment. It is better to make this world safer and healthier than looking for something which may not exist at all.
Answer:
I have a science education background. I have thought about life or aliens or intelligent life on other planets. Common sense or even scientifically it is next to impossible that life can be found in other planets.
The planet Earth is located at a precise location in the Solar System to support life. If the orbit of the Earth is slightly nearer to the Sun or farther away, it would be either too hot or too cold to support life. I am not against scientific exploration, but exploring for life in the planets of the Solar System or out there somewhere light years away is simply a waste of time and resources.
