Answer:The present day villages are losing their charm and importance as well. The main reason being industrialization and urbanization of the society. It is quite evident that people will always go in search of greener pastures. The place where they find a good livelihood, they flock to that area. Just as birds flock near the trees or ponds and lakes because they find their livelihood / food in these regions. The river valley civilizations are the best examples. So due to industrialization there is lot of generation of employment with good pay and this resulted in urbanization. And due to such a shifting the villages have been neglected and even the local bodies are not looking after the upliftment of these villages. There are some remote villages where the basic hygienic conditions are too poor and the villagers have to suffer a lot for their basic needs as well. It is really a pitiable condition and hope to see better and bright villages in future. Thank you for bringing such a nice thought-provoking thread.
