Irrespective of how technologically advanced we consider ourselves,  it will be a long time before robots start playing an important role in our daily lives. I firmly speak against the motion.

Now, it is only technologically advanced nations like Japan that are actively using robots, particularly in the industrial and healthcare setup.  Our nation is light years away from reaching that stage,  and so the predominance of robots does not seem like a possibility in the near future.

Also one of the main reasons for countries considering the use of robots over humans is the lack of manpower and expensive labour. However, there is no dearth of manpower in India.   In fact, India is one of the nations that offers the cheapest labour in abundance.  So the question of robots being preferred to human beings does not even arise.

Further, given the sensitivity of certain jobs,  it is impossible to have robots make the decisions.  Sometimes decisions need to be  based not only on facts,  but other humanitarian grounds also have to be considered.  Therefore,  robots cannot take away such jobs from human beings.  This greatly limits the scope of robots and ensure that humans remain their bosses and control them.

Considering all the points mentioned earlier,  it is quite evident that robots will not  enjoy predominance in our real life.
