Reality is as real as it gets 

To be fair, I think a lot of it is amped up and hyped up and maybe even scripted out a bit. But for the most part in a lot of reality shows what you see is what's really happening. Even if it is fluffed up a bit by the producers to make better television.

As far as I know, almost every reality show currently being
aired on television is not real. Many
shows claim to be real life reality shows, but behind the scenes the shows are actually
scripted by the producers. Reality show
actors are encouraged to have very dramatic lives and performances in order to
increase ratings.
