Debate on women's empowerment in against in the last 70 yeato

Participant 1: I agree with the topic that there has been lots of development as far as women in India are concerned.  Over the last 70 years, the employment rate of women has gone up.  Educated women are more now.  Women are employed as Pilot and Train drivers.  

Participant 2: I disagree with the thought that women have achieved an overall improvement.  In individual homes where both the husband and wife go to work, we can see, the wife still does all the household chores.  Very few men lend a helping hand or it has to be forced on men.  

Participant 1: There is a lot of development in the private life of a woman.  Earlier, child marriages, sati etc., were prevalent but now, women are given education, given the freedom of dress and marrying the man of their liking.

Participant 2: Not in all houses this development has come.  Our development is only 50 per cent.  Miles to go before we reach atleast 70 per cent.
