DEBATE OVER A RARE BOOK
King Krishna Dev Rai had many ministers at his court who were
men of erudition and were very scholarly. Since the King himself was a
great promoter of art, culture and literature, he used to hold debates on
various topics among his Pundits.
But once a great Pundit from a neighbouring kingdom visited his
court and challenged all the Pundits of his kingdom. He had a thorough
knowledge of all the four Vedas and had indepth knowledge of various
other branches. He had the reputation of defeating the greatest Pundits
of every kingdom and had the honour of having been hououred by so
many kings.
King Krishna Dev Rai was extremely worried to see that there was
