Mid - day meal scheme is a school scheme organised by the government of India to improve the nutritional status of school age children nationwide. Parents whose financial conditions are not good to provide their children food 3 times a day! as they couldn't afford for that much food! so, to improve and help the conditions of poor people, govt. organised this scheme and so, poor people send their children to school so that they can get delicious food to eat atleast once a day.

this was very helpful to all those needy people and it also saved the life of many people!
so, this was the most successful and important step taken by the government of India. poor People send their children to school to not only get food but to gain knowledge so, their children can be employed in the future, and this leads to development of our country.
