Debbie, Ricky, Bambi and Utah work for XYZ company. During performance appraisal, Debbie's hike is 10% less<br />than Ricky's. Ricky's hike is 33.33% more than that of Bambi and Bambi's hike is 16.67% less than that of Utah.<br />What is Utah's hike if Debbie gets a hike of $10,000.​

Ricky's hike is 33.33% more than that of Bambi and

Bambi's hike is 16.67% less than that of Utah.

To Find :  Utah's hike if Debbie gets a hike of $10,000.​

Solution:

Debbie gets a hike of $10,000.​

Debbie's hike is 10% less than Ricky's

Let say Ricky's hike = R

Then Debbie's hike = R - (10/100)R = 0.9R

0.9R = 10,000.​

=> R = 100,000/9

Ricky's hike is 33.33% more than that of Bambi

Let say Bambi hike = B

Then Ricky's hike = B + (33.33/100)B = B + B/3  = 4B/3

4B/3 = 100,000/9

=> B  = 25,000/3

Bambi's hike is 16.67% less than that of Utah.

Let say Utah.'s hike = U

Then Bambi's hike  = U  - (16.67/100)U = U - U/6 = 5U/6

5U/6 = 25,000/3

=> U = 5000 x 2

=> U = 10000

Utah's hike $10,000.​  if Debbie gets a hike of $10,000.​
