Normal to above normal temperatures may prevail over most parts of South Asia, including India, due to the lingering El Nino effect .

Bcoz of the el nino effect.and also bcoz India is in northern hemisphere due to that the sun's rays falls slantingly towards India. And another reason is that in the winter season the days will be shorter and nights will be longer...these are the reason for that.
