Decentralisation is the process in which few powers of central and state governments is given to the local government . Yes ,it is greatest when checking required on decisions taken by Lower level of management because India is a internally diverse country two tiers of government is not efficient to controll country so the third tier of governments is added to solve the disputes at lower level . But from starting local governments was not efficient but the changes in 1922 laws of local to make it efficient. Such as ty is mandatory hold regular elections . Few seats were reserved for the sc , St and obc, one third of seat is reserved for the women.
