hey mate here is your answer

given \:  \: x  - 2
we have to find it is factor or not then

x = 2
now

p(x) =  {x}^{3}  -  {4}^{2}  - 4
putting x in equation

p(2) =  {2}^{3}  - 4 \times  {2}^{2} - 4
now
p(2) = 8 - 16 - 4 \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   =  -  8 - 4 \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =   - 12 \\  \\ so \: by \: this \: it \: is \: not \: its \: factor \:
