Solution:

  • Now we have given that set A is Even prime number.
  • So we have only one even prime number and that is 2.

                  A = { 2 }        ...................(i)

  • Now we have B as:

                  B = { x | 7x - 1 = 13 }

  • Taking the equation, we get:

                  7x - 1 = 13

                  7x = 14

                  x = 2

  • So B has an element as 2, B = { 2 }. ...................(ii)
  • So from (i) and (ii), we have:

                  A = B = {2}

Answer:

             So the set A and B are equal sets.

Set A is even Even prime number.

A = {2} ....(1)

Now we have B as:

B = {x|7x-1=13}

Taking the equation,we get:

7x - 1 = 13

7x = 14

x = 2

So, B has an element as 2

B = {2} ....(2)

So, from (1) and (2), we have:

A=B={2}
