The implantation and the formation of placenta requires 3-4 days to the end of 12 weeks respectively. The decidua which forms the maternal cells and three endometrial cells are further enlarged (cells) of the endometrium or mucosal lining which is now called as decidua. The decidua then differentiates into three more types- decidua parietalis, decidua basalis and decidua capsularis. Further, is the endometrial lining is not formed properly, it is a clear significance of endometriosis, causing an incomplete wall formation during implantation period, subsequently, placental breakage.
