The Inter-State council is responsible for promoting and supporting cooperative central is headed by Prime Minister as Chairman. Chief Minsters of all states and union territories, six ministers of cabinet rank deputed by Prime Minister are members of council. Council, takes the decision under leadership of Prime Ministers. The Standing committee headed by Home Minister is responsible for discussing all matters related to Centre-State Relations before they are taken up for discussion in the Interstate Council.
