decomposers and scavengers they just eat on decayed and dead animal protien
but if we see it in a way they can be hunted by any carnivore, that is they can be eaten up by any other animal as well
in that case it is a part of the chain but their works or their activity of cleaning up the environment by eating up dead decaying animals are not included

Decomposers are not included in any food chain because they act at all levels of the food chain.
- Decomposers are the organisms that feed on dead and decaying matter. it can be either plant waste or other organic matter.
- Decomposers such as fungi and bacteria are the main part of the ecosystem as they regulate many life cycles such as the nitrogen cycle.
- They can be herbivores or carnivores. so, they are not given any specific position in the food chain.
- They eat plants so, they are herbivores but they also feed on animal protein, so they can be carnivores.
