Explanation:

Decomposition reaction is the reaction in which a single reactant decomposes to produce either two or more products.

For example,  AB \rightarrow A + B is a decomposition reaction.

One equation each for decomposition reaction is as follows.

  •  2KClO_{3} \overset{heat}{\rightarrow}2KCl +3O_{2}

In this reaction, energy is supplied in the form of heat, that is why 2KClO_{3} decomposes into potassium chloride and oxygen.

  • 2AgCl \overset{h\nu }{\rightarrow}2Ag +Cl_{2}

In this reaction, AgCl decomposes in the presence of sunlight to give silver and chlorine.

  • 2H_{2}O \overset{electricity}{\rightarrow}2H_{2} +O_{2}

In this reaction, water decomposes in the presence of electricity to give hydrogen and oxygen.
