Big shops look more attractive. Businessmen come here from far and wide for purchasing or selling their products. The market is always crowded with carts, horses, donkeys and camels. They come loaded with the produce of the season such as cotton, grain, oil seeds, vegetables, etc.

Answer:

I went to the central market with my mum last Sunday to help her buy supplies for Diwali. When we got there, the market was beautifully adorned and lit up throughout. To greet the customers, each business owner had tastefully adorned their establishment.

Going to the market right before a holiday wasn't a pleasant experience. Everyone had to go shopping for one item or the other. As a result, most commodities had fairly high prices. We carefully navigated our way through the numerous aisles, picking up lights, diyas, trinkets, flowers, rangoli, etc. We also purchased a large quantity of candies and other goodies. The bazaar was busy. On both sides of the street, there were numerous street vendors. They came up to us yelling and begging us to buy their wares. We were having trouble avoiding them. We were lugging increasingly hefty shopping bags. My mum then instructed me to carry the luggage and stand in a corner. She gave me strict instructions not to interact with anyone new. The audience grew larger and larger. I was watching the market from my vantage point at the corner. Heat and noise levels were rising. In the busy market, I saw a lot of parents struggling to calm down their kids who were getting impatient.

It was becoming late, so I saw women rushing through the market. While some people bartered, others simply looked at the situation and moved on. There were a lot of sophisticated things that caught my attention. I was anticipating the arrival of my mum. She arrived shortly carrying a few more bags. I informed her of the items I wanted to purchase. Then we continued down the opposite street. We made a few purchases from there to present as gifts to our relatives and friends on Diwali. We then arrived at a street lined with restaurants. We consumed fresh juice and some nibbles. We felt revitalised and energised after this. Then, we visited several stores that sold decorative stuff. We purchased a variety of lights, lamps, artificial flowers, and other items.

When the shopping was almost over, we headed to the car. Even when we were out, my mother kept buying the little things she liked. She had so many bags  that she couldn't put them all together. We put the bag in the car and went home. It took me a long time to get out of the market because of the traffic jam.  My mother and I were completely exhausted. When we got home, we sighed with relief.
