For Chlorine,

Mass = 7.1 g.

Molar Mass = 71 g.

∴ No. of molecules = 7.1/71 ×  6.022 × 10²³

  =  6.022 × 10²² molecules.

Answer:

Molar mass of Cl= 35.5 amu

given mass= 7.1g

Moles = mass

            molar mass

moles = 7.1 / 35.5= 0.2 moles of chlorine

particles or molecules= moles into Nₐ (Avogadro's Number)

0.2x 6.02x10²³ molecules= 1.204x10²³ molecules of chlorine.
