Answer:

He is also known for wild policy swings. Muhammad ascended to the Delhi throne upon his father's death in 1325. He was interested in medicine and was skilled in several languages — Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Sanskrit.

Died: 20 March 1351

Family: Tughlaq dynasty

Parents: Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq

Explanation:

One of the most controversial steps taken by Mohammad-bin-Tughlaq, early in his reign, was the decision of transfer of capital to Deogiri or Devagiri which was renamed Daulatabad, and the alleged orders of the sultan ordering a mass transfer of the people from Delhi to the new capital.”

Muhammad Tughluq was the first Sultan of Delhi who attempted for the administrative and cultural unity of the north and south India. Probably, he shifted his capital to Devagiri primarily to achieve this object. Muhammad Tughluq permitted everybody to enter the services of the state on merit.
