The correct answer is Rs. 26,667

Commission= Rs. 8,000

Net profit available for distribution= 8,000/5 × 100 =Rs. 1,60,000

Therefore, Deena's share of profit= 1,60,000 × 1/6= Rs. 26,667

Given:

Deepa, Deeya and Deena are partners sharing  profits and losses in the ratio of 3:2:1.  Deeya is to be received a 5 % commission on  net profit after deduction of such commission.

To Find:

If Deeya gets a commission of 8,000, then find out the profit share of Deena?

Solution:

It is given that Deepa, Deeya and Deena are partners and are sharing profit and loss in the ratio of 3:2:1 and Deeya received a commission of 5%, we need to find the profit shares for Deeya if she gets a commission of 8000

The formula for commission on net profit after deduction of such commission is=\frac{net profit * rate of commission}{100\%+Rate of commission}

Now calculating the values using the given formula,(calculating net profit)

8000=\frac{NP*5}{100\%+5\%} \\NP=168000

Now put this value using ratios given and the part that Deena will get will be,

Deena part=\frac{1}{3+2+1} \\=\frac{1}{6}

Deena share will be,

=168000*\frac{1}{6} \\=28000

Hence, the profit share of Deena is 28000.
