Deepa's father is thrice as old as deepa. After 12 years , his age will be twice that of his daughter. Find their present ages.​

Given,

Deepa,s father is thrice old than deepa in present

After 12 years deepa,s father age be twice of deepa

Let , the present age of deepa be x , then deepa,s father age be 3x

After 12 years ,

deepa,s age = x +12

deepa,s father age = 3x + 12

According to question

3x + 12 = 2( x + 12 )

3x + 12 = 2x + 24

3x - 2x = 24 - 12

x = 12 ans.

Deepa,s present age = x = 12 y

Deepa,s father present age = 3x = 3 × 12 = 36 y

After 12 years ,

deepa,s age = 12 + 12 = 24

deepa,s father age = 36 + 12 = 48

if we multiply 24 by 2 we get 48
