Answer:

let the sweets be 5x and 7x

if 7x has 22 more sweets then,

5x+22=7x

5x-7x=-22

-2x=-22

x=-22/-2

x=11

5x= 5 x 11= 55

7x= 7 x 11=77

Answer:

no. of sweets given to group1=5x

no. of sweets given to group2=7x=5x+22

7x-5x=22

2x=22

x=22/2=11

x=11

answer

no. of sweets given to group1=5x=5×11=55

no. of sweets given to group2=7x=7×11=77

JUSTIFICATION

the difference between the answers should be 22 since group2 got 22 more sweets

77-55=22
