let no of hens be x
then goats = 90-x
then
no of legs = 248 = 2x+4(90-x)
2x+360-4x = 248
360-248 = 2x
x = 112/2 = 56
then
no of goats = 90-56 = 74
No of goats = 34
No of hens = 56
