Let the Deepak's present age = x

Let the Deepak's Mother present age = y

  • x = 1 / 3 y ; y = 3x

6 years ago,

Deepak's age = x - 6

Deepak's Mother age = y - 6

=> y - 6 = 5(x - 6)

=> y - 6 = 5x - 30

=> y = 5x - 24

=> 3x = 5x - 24

=> 2x = 24

=> x = 12

Deepak's Age = 12

Deepak's Mother Age = 3x = 36
