Deepesh has a life boy sanitizer of rs 25/lit in what ratio should water be mixed so that after selling the mixture at rs 20/lit he may get of 25%

According to the given problem,

Let C & W denote the quantities (in liter) of chemical & water that are mixed together.

As per given data we have,

(i) Cost-price of chemical is Rs. 25 per liter.

(ii) Sell-price of the mixture is Rs. 20 per liter.

(iii) The person may get a profit of 25%.

Hence we get the following relation,

20*(C + W) = (1 + 25/100)*25*C = (125/4)*C

or 80*(C + W) = 125*C or 80*W = 45*C

or W/C = 45/80 = 9/16 or W : C = 9 : 16 [Ans]
