HEY GENIUS
HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Planetary model of an atom is also known as Rutherford's atomic model

DEFECTS =>
````````````````````````
1. Rutherford's atomic model is against the law of electrodynamic and does not explain the stability of atom.
A moving charged particle loses energy continously in the form of electromagnetic radiations. Thus energy of electrons decreases continuously. this will result the decreases of electron Parth electrons come closer to the nucleus and will ultimately jump into the nucleus this will destroy the atom but never happens because an atom is stable system.
THUS RUTHERFORD ATOMIC MODEL DOES NOT EXPLAIN THE STABILITY OF THE ATOM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

2. If the moving electron loses energy continuously the observed atomic spectra would be continuous but the actual spectra consists of several well defined lines of definite frequency and wavelength is it is called line spectrum of atom.

THUS RUTHERFORD ATOMIC MODEL DOES NOT EXPLAIN THE LINE SPECTRUM OF ATOM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. Rutherford's atomic model does not say anything about electronic structure of atom i.e. distribution of electrons around the nucleus and does not tell about the energies of electrons.
