Answer:

Explanation:

A current carrying conductor creates a magnetic field around it, which can be comprehended by using magnetic lines of force or magnetic field lines. Magnetic field in a current carrying straight conductor is in the form of concentric circles around it. The direction of magnetic field; in relation to direction of electric current through a straight conductor can be depicted by using the Right Hand Thumb Rule which is also known as Maxwell’s Corkscrew Rule.

Magnetic effect of electric current is one of the major effects which functions as the basic principle in appliances used in various fields of activities. The magnetic field around a current carrying conductor can be depicted by using magnetic field lines which are represented in the form of concentric circles around it. The direction of magnetic field through a current carrying conductor is determined by the direction of flow of electric current.

When current flow in the conductor there is a magnetic filed around the conductor. This can be found by using the Right hand thumb rule. When the conductor is griped by a right hand put the the thumb along the conductor it shows the direction of current and remaining four fingers which are around the conductor are gives the direction of magnetic field.
