1) Average Speed is a Scaler quantity.

2) Average speed has Magnitude but no direction.

3) It is distance covered per unit time.

Formula - Speed = Distance/Time

Average Velocity:

1) Average Velocity is a Vector Quantity.

2) It has Both Magnitude and Direction

3) It is displacement covered per unit time.

Formula - Velocity = Displacement/Time
