The Non-Cooperation campaign was started by Gandhi on 1st August 1920 while the Civil Disobedience movement was originated by Gandhi on 6th April 1930 at Dandi in Gujarat. Therefore there was a passage of 10 years among these two movements.
The Civil Disobedience movement was concentrated around the resistance of salt laws everywhere in the country which became the emblem of the movement. The Non-Cooperation campaign did not have any such particular defining figure around which the whole campaign was focused.
The purpose of the Non-Cooperation movement was Swaraj or self-rule by asking the rank of authorization status from the British administration. While the purpose of the Civil Disobedience campaign had moved considerably from Swaraj to achieve sovereignty from British rule.
