Digital circuits are designed so that the output is full on or off. If you take a TTL circuit and very carefully change the input Voltage, you will find a range of inputVoltages (maybe 0.050V) that the output willeither change with the change of input Voltage or oscillate. Ifyou look at data sheets, you will see a range of inputthat is not classified as high or low.
