Deficiency diseases of humans with their symptoms and how to prevent that diseases

They are a multitude of deficieny diseases. I will note them one by one:
1) PEM: It is an important nutritional problem an mong pre-school children. It leads to various degrees of growth retardation. This is due to lack of adequate quantity of protein or carbohydrate or both. The child suffering from PEM can recover if adequate quantities of protein and carbohydrate rich food are given.

2) Night Blindness or Xerophthalmia: These diseases are due to deficiency of vitamin A. To recover from it most people suffering should eat carrots, tomato, papaya, mango, milk, eggs, cod-liver oil and many more with contain proportionate quantities of retinol and Beta carotene.

3) Anaemia: This disease is caused by deficiency of iron leading to reduction of blood into very low numbers. Should eat meats, dried fruits and nuts, banana, honey, dates green leafy vegetables.

4) Goitre: It is caused by deficieny of iodine in the food. To recover from its ill effects one should continue a diet full of iodinised salt and sea food (As weak teeth are formed and are prone to decay).
