Answer:

Thermoplastic is a class of polymer, which can be easily melted or softened by providing heat in order to recycle the material. Therefore, these polymers are generally produced in one step and then converted into the required article at a subsequent process. Furthermore, thermoplastics have covalent interactions between monomer molecules and secondary weak van der Waal interactions between polymer chains. This weak bonds can be broken by heat, and change its molecular structure.

Unlike thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics have superior properties like high thermal stability, high rigidity, high dimensional stability, resistant to creep or deformation under load, high electrical and thermal insulating properties, etc. This is simply because thermosetting plastics are highly cross-linked polymers that have a three-dimensional network of covalently bonded atoms. The strong cross-linked structure shows resistance to higher temperatures which provides greater thermal stability than thermoplastics.

Answer:there are two types of plastic thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic or thermoset

Explanation:thermoplastics are those plastic which are not resistant to heat and on heating they become soft and can be reshaped to form any other object for eg. Plastic bottels,PVC while thermosetting plastic or thermosets are those plastic which are resistant to heat and once they have obtained there desired shape they cannot be moulded to form any other object nd they donot become soft on heating for eg. electric switches (Bakelite)

hope this answer is clear:)
