For example :     3 = It has two factors that are 1 and 3.

                           19 = 1 and 19 are the only factor of 19. etc

  • Composite number : Those positive numbers that have more than two factors are known as composite number.

For example :       4 = It has 1 , 2 and 4 as its common factor. Hence, it is composite number.

                              12 = 1,2,3,4,6 and 12 are the common factors of 12.etc

  • Even number :     Those numbers that are divisible by 2 are known as even numbers.

For example:      6 is divisible by 2. Hence, it is an even number,

also                      10 is divisible by 2. etc

  • Odd number : Those numbers that are not divisible by 2 are known as odd numbers.

For example :    3 , 1 , 5 , 7 ,etc are odd numbers.
