Neutralization means the process that occurs when an acid and a base come in to the contact with each other to make a salt and water.
for example;-
1) HCl + NaOH --> NaCl + HOH
2) HCl + NaOH --> NaCl + HOH

the reaction between an acid and a base to produce salt and water is known as neutralisation reaction

acid+base    gives rise to     salt+water
example:
NaOH+HCl   GIVES RISE TO    NaCl+H2O
