the tribes who live in forest practice this type of cultivation
1st they clear a patch of forest land and cultivate their crop there
they use that land for 4 to 5 years
and then the fertility of soil decreases
finally they leave that land or fire that land and go insearch of other land
this cultivation is also called as jhum or podu
definition :tribes clear a oatch of land cultivate there until the soil's fertility erases and then leave that land this type of cultivation is known as shifting cultivation
