Definations and two examples each for chemical reactions and their types of 10th std
Answers
COMBINATION REACTION:- When two or more reactants combine to form a single product then it is called combination reaction.
Ex:- C+ O₂------> CO₂
2H₂+ O₂-------> 2H₂O
DECOMPOSITION REACTION:- When a single reactant decomposes to form two or more products then it is called decomposition reaction.
Ex:- 2H₂O------> 2H₂+ O₂
CaCO₃------> CaO+ CO₂
DISPLACEMENT REACTION:- When a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its compound then it is called displacement reaction.
Ex:- Zn+ CuSO₄--------> ZnSO₄+ Cu
Fe+ CuSO₄---------> FeSO₄+ Cu
DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT REACTION:- The reactions in which their is a exchange of ions between their reactants is called a double displacement reaction.
Ex:- BaSO₄+ 2NaCl-------> BaCl₂+ Na₂SO₄
BaCl₂+ Na₂SO₄------> 2NaCl+ BaSO₄
REDOX REACTION:- Redox reactions are the reactions involving the oxidation of one substance and the reduction of the other.
Ex:- ZnO+ C------> CO+ Zn
CH₄+ 2O₂-------> CO₂+ 2H₂O (Carbon is oxidised and Oxygen is reduced)
