Factor - A factor divides a number completely without leaving any remainder.

For example:-

  1. 30 ÷ 6 = 5, and there is no remainder. So, now 5 and 6 are the factors of 30.
  2. 10 ÷ 2 = 5, and there is no remainder. And so, 5 and 2 are the factors of 10.

Multiple - A multiple is the product that we get when one number is multiplied by another number.

For example:-

  1. 4 × 5 = 20, here 20 is a multiple of 4 and 5.
  2. 2 × 6 = 12, here 12 is a multiple of 2 and 6.
