1. The Definition of stringed instruments and wind instruments are in the following

  • That Instruments which produces musical sound from a vibrating string is called stringed instruments like guitar and violin.
  • The instruments in which musical sound is produced by vibration by the player blowing that has a resonator is called wind instruments like Bassoon and flute.

2. The Definition of Concave and convex mirror are in the following

  • Concave mirror are the converging mirror that cause image to form bigger than original image and producess both real and virtual images
  • convex mirror are curved mirror i.e, diverging because it produces virtual , upright and behind the mirror image.

3. The definition of Real and virtual mirror are in the following

  • Real mirror means it is formed when the light rays coming from an object actually meet and usually it is formed by Concave mirror
  • virtual mirror are the mirror that form image by the imaginary rays of a object which are produced by convex mirror

4. Gold leaf electroscope is the process in which gold leaf is hammered in thin and light sheets in which a Metal rod has a metal knob at its top. Two gold and is get attached to the lower end of the vertical metal rod and then and some of the applications of Gold Leaf Electroscope are

  • to find charge
  • to find out the nature charge

5. Thermal expansion is the the property of matter in which they change there shape size and volume as temperature changes in simple word, the change in length or volume per unit temperature change is called thermal expansion and

They are of The three types of

  • linear expansion,
  • superficial expansion
  • cubical expansion.

6. The definition of insulator and conductor are in the following

  • Conductor are the substance which don't resist the flow of charge there is a free movement of charge which cause electricity like Gold , aluminium and silver.
  • (note :- graphite is the only non - metal which generates electricity )
  • Insulator are the substance which do not allow the movement of charge and resist it from flowing are glass and rubber.

7. yes, Repulsion is sure test for electrification of bodies because it Repel when same charged bodies meet that means there is a charge which are repelling each other .

  • Unlike charges , attract
  • like charges , repel

8. static electricity refer to the electricity that has a imbalance between negative and positive charges in an object in which the charge remain the same. for example

  • use is in printers
  • use in photocopiers

9. battery can be convection of cells because it utilizes electrolyte flow to decrease the potential of battery and batteries including the conventional (AA/AAA/D) batteries contain solid electrolytes which act as a ionic conductor at 300 K (27 C or 80 F) temperature.

  • Batteries are galvanic cells
  • series of cells
  • (note :-cells are combined into batteries, the potential of the battery is a multiple of the potential of a single cell )

10. 10. The definition of conduction , convection and radiation are in the following

  • Conduction is the free movement of anything like heat and energy through direct contact.
  • Convection is the circular motion or the movement of heat over a gas or a liquid as the hotter part which is due to the bulk movement of molecules within fluids.
  • radiation is the powerful and dangerous ray that is the emission or transmission of energy in the form of waves or particles.

(note:- radiation is also called electromagnetic waves)
