a large area of land, usually covered with sand, that is hot and has very little water and very few plants is known as desert.
Hot deserts are found in the tropical and sub-tropical regions (western coasts of continents). Cold deserts are mostly found in temperate regions at higher latitudes. It has a sandy soil. It has sand, ice or snow covered land.
Ice deserts are the regions of the Earth that fall under an ice cap climate
polar deserts are distinguished from true deserts by low annual temperatures and evapotranspiration
